Bridget Ann Gooch is here!!!

Wednesday night Quinn and I welcomed our new little addition Bridget Ann at 9:08 pm! She is healthy and absolutely beautiful at 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches. We barely made it to the hospital in time to have Bridget delivered. I was not due for another week and was very convinced that I wouldn't going into labor for at least a week. Quinn had some intuition or something b/c he was sure that I was going into labor all day Wednesday. He actually left work early and just came home to see how I was doing - I wasn't having any contractions yet or anything so I was really confused as to why he FELT the baby was coming that day. Well, around 5:30 that night I started having some contractions. For those that don't know, I had had contractions since I was 28 weeks so I didn't think anything of these contractions. Quinn and I went for a little walk to see if they would stop...they didn't. I took a bath...they kept going. The contractions were about one to three minutes apart and lasting about 45-55 seconds. Finally after we ate dinner Quinn convinced me to let our friends take Triston for the night and we were heading to the hospital. I was still convinced this was a false alarm and was sure we would get sent home. But between contractions I grab our bags and packed a bag for Triston. Our good friend Nate picked up Triston at about 8:20pm. We raced to the hospital where they sent us straight to labor and delivery. Once in our room the nurse checked me and I was at a six. The nurse hooked me up to an IV and I was planning on not getting an epidural but I did want some sort of pain medication. Once she got the IV in I asked her to get some pain meds for my IV, so she left to get them. I had one really strong contraction while she was gone and I yelled to Quinn, "SHE IS COMING OUT!" Poor Quinn had to run and find the nurse. She came and checked me and said, "OH MY GOSH she is crowing!!" I said, "So can I still get the pain meds?" Nope! It was too late. Thankfully my doctor was next door delivering another baby. He raced in, didn't even have time to put on a mask, and I asked him for some local anesthesia and he said, "This baby is coming out we don't have time." 3 pushes and she was here! It was a great experience and I am AMAZED at how well the recovery has been. We are soooo thrilled to have our sweet baby girl home!!

Congratulations! I can't believe how alert she looks in that B&W pic! She looks way too old to just be a couple days in this world!

Congratulations again, you guys! She's adorable. And good job making it without pain meds, even if it wasn't intentional. You did it (and no terrible complications this time, I hope)!

Oh Dani she is beautiful! Can't believe how fast your labor went. I'm so glad to hear it all went well. I'm guessing your mom is probably in town helping. Let me know when all your helpers are gone and I'll bring you lunch and stop by to see your little angel!
