Triston & I have taken so many great vacations this summer. Our trip to Texas was the last trip we will be taking until Christmas. It was so great to get to spend some time with my family. Triston was spoiled rotten and I loved every minute of it. Here is the trip in a nutshell:
I just love this picture. My parents made our trip so fun and I can't thank them enough for all they did. Since we have come home Triston has been board hanging out with just his mom! :) Thanks Mom & Dad for everything!
Ok, so I have to explain Triston's latest obsession known as "tackle". For Quinn's Senior Football Banquet this year, his parents and I had a highlight video made of his football career at BYU. It turned out great! I hadn't watched it for several months so a few weeks ago I turned it on one morning (we don't have cable and it gets a little quiet sometimes). Anyways, Triston became completely obsessed! He loves to point out his "papa" anytime he sees him on the tv. But the best part is, is that he decided his new favorite game it "tackle". He runs all over the house side shuffling and back peddling (just like Quinn) and then randomly falls to the ground and yells "TACKLE!!". We watch the highlight video about 12 times a day. He also loves watching football on tv now. Just yesterday we were inside Jiffy Lube and Sports Center was on. Triston was YELLING at the tv. He was saying things like, "Come on get him!!", "Oh he got them!", "Tackle, Tackle!!". He had everyone in Jiffy Lube rolling. It was hysterical. Sorry for the long explanation, I just think it is hilarious. Here is a picture of him playing "tackle" with Nana.
We went to quite a few parks on our little vaca. This one was particularly nice.
We made a trip to Lubbock's own Science Spectrum. Triston had such a great time there. It is a really cool place where kids can do all sorts of hands on stuff.
Me & Triston at another park. This park Triston labeled as "a good one". He would run around and then come tell me "Mommy this is a good one, a good park."

Sounds like Tristan is all boy! You all look so great! Glad you got to spend time with your family, It is so good to go home!
Great pics! Love you all!
Hey I'm answering to your comment on my blog. I think Kasey and Triston will be good friends too. I worry about Jordan since he doesn't have too many cousins his age. Sometimes it's hard because he doesn't see the Western cousins very much and I worry about him being included, but Jordan is a fun loving kid and he is just so happy to be there with them.
We love the horses. It was a favorite thing of mine to do also when I was a kid. I try to get the kids out as much as I can, but we really do stay in quite often.
Had such a great time with you and Triston - miss my doodlebug so much! We finally started talked regular adult English again, but not near as fun. Thanks so much for coming out - loads of love!
